Microsoft Internet Explorer was rebranded to Windows Internet Explorer during the release of Windows Vista. This logo was used for IE7 and IE8. A slogan called "Have you had a break today?" was made due to the launch of Windows Live.

This is used as a primary logo on Windows 7/10, & as a secondary logo on Windows 8.x (only on the Start screen).

This logo is used for the Metro/Modern UI style version of Internet Explorer 10 and 11 on Windows 8.x and Windows RT. Also used on Windows Phone since Internet Explorer 9. Notice that this logo also looks a lot like the 1997 logo, which used to be flat 2D. This is used as a primary logo on Windows 8.x. This is used as a secondary logo on Windows 7/10. You can find this logo on Windows 7/8.x/10 by opening Internet Explorer, clicking the settings icon, and clicking "About Internet Explorer".

In Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049, the default browser was changed to IE's successor browser called Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Teams stopped supporting Internet Explorer 11 on November 30, 2020. Microsoft 365 products ended Internet Explorer 11 support on August 17, 2021. Internet Explorer 11 support will end on June 15, 2022 for Windows 10 version 20H2 and later, as well as Windows 10 IoT version 20H2 and later; however, Internet Explorer 11 will continue to receive security updates on other versions of Windows as long as the version of Windows it is running on is still supported.
