In 2023, the YouTube Logos Wiki celebrates its 13th year. From its origins as an evolution of the original logos, through its formative years on Wikihost to new beginnings on ShoutWiki, this wiki has maintained one core mission: the preservation, discovery and describing of production logos old and new. The growth of our site from just a few dozen pages to a database of thousands of articles covering logos and idents from around the world for over the last 13 years in carrying out that mission.

As we look back and reflect on how far we've come, we celebrate with pride our community members past and present and their contributions to this ever-growing site whether it's by writing descriptions, uploading profile pictures, controlling vandals and trolls or just fixing a few mistakes. To everyone over the past decade and a half who has helped make this site what it is today, we say Thank You!

Here's to another 13 years and many more for Profile Pictures!

YouTube Logos A Brief History[edit source]

Where it all started...

Here we take a look back at the events that shaped us as a community and brought us to where we are today:

  • June 15, 2010: YouTube Logos Wiki is created on Wikihost, a wiki hosting service, by MicroCorp.
  • 2011: YouTube Logos Live, a live stream of logos and logo-themed content, is launched.
  • September 2013: Wikihost shuts down, and YouTube Logos Wiki moved to Wikia (now known as FANDOM)
  • 2015: YouTube Logos celebrates 5 years
  • July 11, 2018: YouTube Logos Live is discontinued after 7 years following a period of neglect in which very little if any, new material was being added.
  • October 31, 2018: YTLW was acquired by Beckham Wong and MicroCorp declared bankruptcy
  • 2010: YouTube Logos celebrates 10 years
  • September 2, 2021: The current incarnation of YouTube Logos Wiki is created.
