T-Mobile is the third-largest mobile network operator in the United States, after the two legacy carriers AT&T and Verizon Communications. It is the only mobile network operator owned by Deutsche Telekom that is outside of Europe. In 2020 it completed its merger with competitor Sprint, leaving the United States with three major carriers (plus a smaller, fourth carrier owned by Dish Network).

The United States is the only country where Deutsche Telekom still uses the full T-Mobile logo and wordmark (in all other countries it uses the ·T·· logo, with the exception of Greece and Austria).

On February 2, 2020, T-Mobile debuted a new look. This one is the same as the 2013 version of the 2001 logo, but the magenta color is darker, the wordmark is bolder, and the dotted line was shortened to two dots instead of five.
